Red Ribbon Week...

We have all had Red Ribbon Week since we were little tots but I don't think some kids care. Sure you authority figures can beat in to our heads that "drugs are bad" but kids will do what they want and some do it because teachers, parents, grandparents etc. are telling us not to. Hayden has more of an alcohol and narcotics problem as apposed to meth, cocaine, and other things. Red Ribbon Week doesn't really effect high schoolers any more, I think it is pointless to have activities and such. One reason for this is because the kids turn what the people say in to a big joke and most of them are high while they do.Who knows maybe I'll take the pledge maybe I won't but that's for me to decide.......

~Born in the Wrong Era~

If I was a teen growing up in the mid 60's I would be the happiest person in the world. Not because of drugs....But this was a very influential time for music, government, and many other things.Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin are two of my favorite artists and I would have given anything to meet them.Of course this was also a time of struggling and financial chaos but that's how people learn is from experience. This was a time of love and peace and that's what most people were fighting for.I hate war, I mean I am no hippy but if i was alive back in the day i probably would be.Grateful Dead, CCR, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Janis Joplin....I mean come on who doesn't like 'em!?!
